Kenton Socket Upgrade Kits
5 Audio Out Kit and KADI Port kit for:
PLEASE NOTE: Fitting a socket upgrade kit is a skilled job which should be undertaken only by a competent synth service engineer or fitted by us at our premises in South West London.
5 Audio Out Kit
This kit is to add 5 audio output sockets to the TR-606 to split the internal sounds.
The kit contains all necessary components and diagrams for connecting the wires / components, and mounting the five 3.5mm mono jack sockets
Roland TR-606 KADI Port Kit (for use with Pro-KADI)
This Socket upgrade adds a KADI port to the TR-606 enabling the individual sounds of the TR-606 to be played using KADI port output of any Kenton device which is fitted with a KADI port. These devices are:
Pro-2000 if fitted with the optional KADI port
All sounds can be played individually, with or without accent which is determined by a pre-set velocity level.
While the KADI port is connected to a KADI device the sounds can only be played from MIDI. When the KADI cable is unplugged (or the KADI device is turned off) the TR-606 will revert to normal operation. See the retrofit kit if you need more control.
The kit contains all necessary components and diagrams for connecting the wires / components, and mounting the 15 pin high density D socket.
Note 1): A KADI cable is not included, as this is supplied with the Pro-KADI or optional KADI add-on port for the Pro-2000 (although not with a Pro-4).
Note 2) This is a KADI Socket upgrade and is not what we call a retrofit. The retrofit kit offers a lot more control and features, and allows you to play along with the internal sequences if that is what you want to do, as well as play the sounds individually, with full velocity control. The retrofit is self contained and does not need to be connected to a converter.
Note: Our socket kits are not intended for installation by the end user.
They should always be fitted by an experienced synth engineer.
